Today I met a merchant lord, a lady medic, a lord who is exactly what he says he is, a craftswoman, a marquessa, and a knight. All of them were intriguing in their own ways, and a couple of them perhaps the most enjoyable people I have yet to speak with since my arrival in the city. Uncertain if any of them would be willing to play the game of two million questions with me, though.
The knight who is playing the game with me is up to ninety questions asked, but only eighty-nine answered. I do not take umbrage as I wait for his reply as I know he will respond. Sometimes the wait is the best part of the game, after all. The curiosity eating and gnawing at you until the answer arrives. Sometimes this can lead to a fleeting sense of disappointment but most other times it is the opening of a door.

Relationship Note on Khanne
There are days that you just need a little something to brighten it, sometimes with out even really realizing it. You just feel blah or tired or what have you. The ledgers don't feel fun or the like. In any case, I don't have such days often, but on at least two of them, I have received a surprise from the extraordinary Lady Khanne. A generous woman who is, herself, a bright spirit, I am so grateful for her kindness. Some time ago she sent me the most adorable otter paperweight, which sits on my desk to this very day. Today? Candy! Not just any candy, but some from Mistress Lottie's shop that was made to look like an icicle. I love it! And needed it today, it seems. Truly, they don't come much more wonderful than Lady Khanne.

I have replaced the stolen chairs with, perhaps, better built ones that include names actually carved into them. Also, I have another to design, I think. None of this forgives the thievery though, lest someone think their jaw or kneecaps safe.

The days are very cold now, and I am sitting in a warm room with a fire going dressed in wool. You'd think one would get hot and sweat out all their water, but it hasn't happened to me yet.
I met a man in the market who calls himself Snow. He is a sweet boy, quite gentle, and I also met one called Tempest. He wishes me to make garments for him, wool, plain, undyed.
I think I gave him a fair price. 1000 silver is a little less than I would charge someone if the clothing was dyed, but I can deal with undyed cloth. It may make my perfectionist rear her ugly head and ask why a dozen times over, but I will manage it.
I did better with the crowds today, though I willsay I did not notice them until I was finished with my business. When I do notice them, usually it is when I am busy with something else. They still make me jittery, though I am working on it. At least I am no longer painfully aware of every little detail of someone's step or talk. Progress is good, I expect.

Went to my first tea party. Never been to one before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had a notion from stories about them. I even wore a dress for it. Gotta admit that it wasn't like any stories that I've heard. Can't say I was a fan of tea before it and I'm still not after it, but the rest of it was entertaining. Interesting company too.
